Exactly one year ago, a small group of friends, gathered in the lanai of our home, and I shared the little bit about the Word of God that I knew, with them. I had already been involved for the last 3 or 4 years in a Biblical Apostolate initiative all the way in Silang (Cavite), and it had always been my prayer to start one right here, at home. And it finally happened -- all in God's perfect time.
We eventually called the class "Kanlaon Bible Study" or KBS for short (because I live on a street called Kanlaon!) and by God's grace, we continued to meet week after week, with a few new people joining in every now and then. I would always tell the attendees that I'm definitely no expert and won't have the answers to everything... that I too am still learning... and that we are all forever students when it comes to God's Word. But, I am definitely passionate about Sacred Scripture and my commitment is to do my best to diligently study and research content for our lessons and for this page.
Anyway, fast forward to the present -- over these past several weeks, we have seen an influx of online masses, talks, recollections, worship services, etc. as a result of the enhanced community quarantine (lockdown) we are all currently in. This inspired me to create an online version of KBS, as my own little way of sharing the Word of God and the Catholic faith to [hopefully] more people.
So, here we are. Welcome to KBS: ONLINE!
